하나의 독립된 molecule을 unique하게 정의하여 부여된다. 하나의 entity는 여러 instance를 가질 수 있다.

Asymmetric unit ID (instance-level)

_struct_asym.id, _atom_site.label_asym_id, _atom_site.auth_asym_id

Assembly ID

_pdbx_struct_assembly.id
생물학적으로 복합체를 형성하여 기능을 하는 assembly의 단위로 부여된다.

Residue 또는 small molecule의 ID이다.

As a member of the wwPDB, the RCSB PDB curates and annotates PDB data according to agreed upon standards. The RCSB PDB also provides a variety of tools and resources.
